In the January/February 2016 issue [BCMJ 2016;58:42 [8]], we included a photo of five people signing the purchase agreement for the Doctors of BC building in November 1985. We were unable to identify three people in the photo and asked you to e-mail us if you could help solve the mystery. Thanks to Gael Arthur, who regularly flips through her husband Dr Rick Helmer’s journal, the people in the photograph have been identified.
They are, seated: Debra Sing; standing (l-r): Kenneth Bagshaw and David Mydske. All were lawyers at Ladner Downs (now Borden Ladner Gervais) when the photo was taken. Drs F. Norman Rigby and John O’Brien-Bell are seated center and right, respectively.
