The BCMJ is pleased to announce the winner of the 2012 UBC Med Student Blog Contest. While all the entries were interesting and engaging, Mr Greg Costello’s heartfelt essay, “Touched [8],” resonated with BCMJ Editorial Board members, and was chosen as the $250 grand prize winner.
Medical student writers should also keep in mind the $1000 J.H. MacDermot Prize [9], awarded annually to the best full-length med student article published in our print edition.
Congratulations Mr Costello—we look forward to your future contributions to the BCMJ.
