Developed by the UBC Department of Ophthalmology, this one day course offers non-ophthalmologists an opportunity to review and update their ophthalmology knowledge and skills through active learning.
The course features a full-day stream designed for family physicians. Concurrent streams are devoted to pediatricians and internal medicine speciaists.
Participants will gain confidence in diagnosing and treating ophthalmic conditions commonly encountered in their practice.
Hands-on workshops facilitated by local ophthalmologists make use of animal models, ophthalmoscopes, and other equipment to practice skills.
Target audiences: Family physicians, pediatricians, internists.
Accreditation: Up to 6.5 Mainpro+/MOC Section 1 credits.
