Developed by the UBC Department of Ophthalmology, this one day course, to be held at the Life Sciences Centre, offers non-ophthalmologists an opportunity to review and update their ophthalmology knowledge and skills through active learning.
The course features a full-day stream designed for family physicians. Concurrent streams are devoted to pediatricians and neurologists.
Participants will gain confidence in diagnosing and treating ophthalmic conditions commonly encountered in their practice. Hands-on workshops facilitated by local ophthalmologists make use of animal models, ophthalmoscopes and other equipment to practice skills.
Target audiences: family physicians, pediatricians, neurologists.
Credits: up to 6.5 Mainpro+/MOC Section 1 credits.
