BCMJ Rhine River Cruise: Welcome aboard!
Blog Author: David R. Richardson, MD

Only a few more days until the world famous British Columbia Medical Journal Rhine River Conference commences. This eagerly anticipated primary care refresher has Europe buzzing with excitement. Wedding, what wedding? This is bigger. So much so that I am already over in Europe prepping the rowboat and gathering turnips. I hope that everyone was aware that this is an open air vegetarian experience (also alcohol free).
I was delighted to see that the attendees are from all over Canada and the United States. We even have some merry travelers from Australia and New Zealand. I look forward to meeting you all—both in the educational environment of our conference and also during our expeditions and social events.
We set sail this Friday (22 April), and throughout the cruise we will be posting blog entries and photos documenting our travels and outlining each day's CME topics. Be sure to check back regularly to chart our progress down the Rhine River and read about what your colleagues have been learning on board.
We have much to learn from one another (really more you from me), and I hope this experience will be truly a “refresher” for us all.
